GPSAPU "Asset Protection Unit" Tracking system
The GPSAPU is often used for a "Buy Here, Pay Here" type of user
or for theft recovery. The GPSAPU does not have a
month subscription and can be located on
demand. The user will use "TRAKS" to located
their vehicle when needed. When the GPSAPU is
purchased the user is given 500 locates or "TRAKS" that they can use at-will. Additional
locates may be purchased in the customer's Admin Area. Locates come in packages of 10, 20 or
40.
The GPSAPU does not update automatically, like the GPS200.
The only reports or history that the user may
see are those that are from previous manual
locates. The user is still able to view the
location on a map from the history which will
also show date, time.
APU vs LoJack:
LoJack does not utilize true GPS signals and does not offer wireless connectivity. Because of these shortfalls in technology, the missing vehicle can only be located by police vehicles that are specially outfitted with the proper equipment. Plus, there are no additional features like the capability for an owner to track the vehicle themselves. Not every police vehicle is equipped with the LoJack equipment that will enable them to locate your vehicle. The number of police vehicles that equipped is only a fraction of the total police vehicles patrolling your city. Additionally, LoJack's signal is only a 2-3 mile radius. This means if a police vehicle equipped with the LoJack receiver is not in range of your vehicle, your car will not be located.
The LoJack Replacement:
Using the latest technology in GPS, the APU will be able to find your vehicle without the need of a receiver from a third party. Using our web-based, high detailed maps, you will know the exact location of your vehicle and loved ones.
Starter Disable:
The GPSAPU may be installed to use the starter
disable feature. The user will be able to log
into their portal and remotely disable and
enable the starter on the vehicle. This will
allow the user to prevent the vehicle from
moving from its current stopped location.
Geofences:
Geofences will allow the user to be notified
once the vehicle enters or exits a specific
geographical location. The GPSAPU lets the user
setup 3 geofences that will monitor the
vehicle if it leaves a certain area and also 3
geofences that will monitor the vehicle if it
enters an area. Each geofence may be setup to
notified the user via email or text message
once the vehicle crosses the boundaries.
Geofences are a great way to monitor the
vehicle without having to manually locate the
unit to make sure that it is not in an area
where the user does not want it to be.
Reports:
There are several useful reports that help the user understand where their assets are, and where they have been, and when.
 Activity Report - Time, date, location, address (when available, longitude/latitude when address not available).
Satellite Imaging & Mapping - See a "bread crumb" trail showing the movement of your asset, in 30 minute to 12 hour intervals.
Geofence Report - Print reports that show which geofences were crossed, and at what time/date. Or, automatically receive alerts via text/email at subsequent "track"/update.
Settings:
There are numerous admin settings that let users organize and customize their vehicle tracking needs. Settings are an Admin privilege and can be disabled per user request.
Company Emails - This will let the user setup emails for alerts and schedulers.
Units - You can customize unit names.
Groups - Users have the ability to assign units to a group for organization.
Geofences - Provides the ability to create borders in area and be notified via email and/or cell phone once asset/vehicle enters or leaves a specified area.
Reports Scheduler - The user has the ability to receive reports via email on a scheduled basis. User defined schedule of daily, once a week or monthly is available.

The GPSAPU is installed by connecting three wires.
Black - Ground
Red - 12V power
White - Ignition
The GPSAPU has 1 antenna the serves dual
purpose, GSM and GPS. The antenna needs to
have a clear view of the sky and is internal
based only. It may be installed covertly but
the signal cannot go through any type of
metal in the vehicle, only glass or plastic.
